3.  How much do I get paid? and If Hired, How would i get Paid?

Answer: This is to inform all Applicants that after the necessary processing of Seaman/Sea-women Traveling Documents, All Newly employed Crew staff must embark on 2-3 Weeks Trip to either UK or USA or Australia for preparation Training which is compulsory before you join the Luxury Cruise Ship for the 4 Months contract on board. You will receive your first payment for the 2-3 weeks Training in your Home Country Bank Account or  Credit Card which will be submitted in future to the Financial Department on board. The Salaries are competitive with those in the marketplace. In general the range is between $3,000- $7,500 Per Month, but  if  Applicant's Job Position falls into The Restaurant and Housekeeping Department, Staff wages are based on gratuities and Tips receive from Passenger and can expect to earn $3,000- $5,000 Per Month. Crew Members are paid twice a month, There is no charge to crew-members for accommodation or meals during your contract. 7. What are the tax laws regarding income earned on a cruise ship?

Answer:  Sending money home or directly to your bank account is quick and easy. There are many options to send money home whilst onboard, but we recommend the following two: the crew office on most ships offer Crew Wire and money order services. To wire money, you must have all the details of the bank where you want to wire your money to. Both services are offered for a small fee. 12. What happens if I get sick onboard?

Answer: You must inform your supervisor as soon as you feel sick or in case of an emergency, all cruise ships have a designated emergency number, which will put you in contact with the medical facility onboard. Once you have been examined by one of the shipboard doctors, you will either be given rest time or referred to a doctor ashore. our cruise lines cover medical illness whilst a crew member is under contract onboard; however we suggest that you check with your medical facility or Human Resources department onboard for medical coverage benefits.
 
13. Are there uniform requirements? If so, who provides the uniform?

Answer:  Yes, there are uniforms required, Your uniform is designed and issued by the cruise line for your particular role. Uniforms are cleaned and maintained for crew-members. You'll be required to pay little amount of the Money for the Uniform. Crew-members are permitted to wear tasteful personal clothing while off-duty.
 
14. Are there any recreational areas on a cruise ship for crew members?
 
Answer:   Yes, THE MANAGEMENT OF ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LTD modern cruise vessel is equipped with a crew fitness center, a crew recreation room (simply crew bar) and a crew deck with a swimming pool and jacuzzi. In general this cruise lines takes a very good care of the well being of the crew members, since it could affect the quality of work and passenger service.You are expected to behave and dress professionally on and off duty. Excessive drinking or socializing is not tolerated when on duty. You are permitted to mingle with the passengers when you are off duty, though this varies from time to time depending on how friendly you're to passenger and Guest on board, This Cruise line encourage the staff to be frequent at the nightclub to give it atmosphere!! and reason not to feel staying away from your Home.

15. Can my partner and I travel and work together?

Answer: YES, THE MANAGEMENT OF ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LTD believe Couple/Partner will perform there duties better if place close to each other, If both of you are successful we can put a request in for you to be assigned to the same ship and the cruise company will do its best to accommodate.

16. What documentation would I need to join the ship?

Answer: Once you have been accepted by this cruise line and have been given an assigned ship and joining date, you will be required to have the following documents prior to departing your country:
Our Recruitment Agency will issue you a Letter of Employment. (We will send you a scan copy over e-mail and an original via courier).  This is the most important document, as you will need it to request a visa, if required, to show the airline when departing to join the assigned ship, to show the local authorities of your country the purpose of your travel, to present it to the local authorities of the country you are entering where you are joining the ship, to show to the Hotel upon arrival and to present to the Crew Purser at the time you board the ship.
Other important documents you must carry with you are a passport valid for a period of at least one year and a Seaman's book, if you hold one.
You must ensure all visas required are obtained before departing your country and are valid for at least one year. Our licensed Recruitment Agency will advise you of the visas you are required to obtain and the process to follow.
All Professional certificates or licenses.
 
17. Are the employees allowed to purchase goods on-board cruise ships and do they get any discounts?
 
Answer:  Yes, crew members enjoy duty free prices on-board a cruise ships, they also get up to 25% discount on goods purchased in the on board boutique shops.

18. How can I stay connected with family and friends whilst onboard?

Answer: While onboard staying connected with family and friends is easy; Our cruise ships have internet cafes onboard and we even have internet access in your cabin or wireless internet in the crew areas, should you have your own laptop. Additionally, Crew have the option of purchasing phone cards to call either from onboard or while the ship is in port. Keep in mind that when using either of these services a fee will apply.

19. Once assigned to a ship, what should I pack?

Answer: It may not be an easy task when thinking about packing for a long time, especially when we would suggest that you pack lightly. You must start by taking into consideration that your cabin space is limited, so bring the most important personal items. For instance, toiletry items that will only last you for the first few weeks onboard, as you will have the opportunity to buy them from the crew shop onboard or whilst the ship is in port. Keep in mind that 85% of your time you will be wearing a uniform; therefore, clothing items to bring should be minimal and essential. Other items could include an alarm clock, prescription medication, camera, laptop, cell phone, Walkman/I-pod and hair dryer. All of these items should not make up more than one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
 
20. What are the policies of cruise lines towards use of drugs and narcotics?

Answer:  Absolutely Zero tolerance, crew members get fired, disembarked and submitted to local authorities immediately with no exceptions, regardless of ship's location. Which is why our Licensed Recruitment Agency will conduct drug tests before applicants embark on the Two weeks Training, any applicant thinking of drugs use while on a ship, should simply forget about cruise lines employment. There is no way around this!!!

21. What are the regulations regarding premature termination of employment?
 
Answer:  The contract with a cruise line will be automatically terminated at the date stated on the contract as an end date. It could be renewed by mutual agreement between employee (contractor) and the cruise line. In case the employee (contractor) wishes to terminate the contract earlier than the end date, the employee (contractor) will be responsible for the cost of transportation going back home. In case a crew member gets fired from the job, the cruise line will be responsible for the return transportation, but in this case the crew member can not return to the same cruise line for employment.
 
22. Are the crew members expected to perform some duties other than their work on-board?
 
Answer: THE MANAGEMENT OF ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LTD require all the crew members to participate in weekly safety drills (demonstrating safety equipment to passengers, life jackets etc.) And get paid as Bonus for this Extra job.
 
23. After Some Months working with this Cruise line, Is it possible for my Parents/Relatives to join me on board?
