Royal Caribbean Marine Operations is responsible for the safe movement and operation of our ships. Although the marine group is relatively small compared to the hotel operation on board, it consists of highly trained and experienced technical and navigational personnel that ensure our vessels are always safe, reliable, and in compliance with the rules and regulations at all times.

Our ships are some of the most technologically advanced in the industry. From state of the art navigational and propulsion systems to the onboard hotel services like electrical power, fresh water and air conditioning, the Marine Operations team plays a significant role in delivering and incredible vacation for our guests.

The Marine Operations group consists of two types of crew members: Officers and Ratings. Most or our marine officer positions require a post secondary education and an engineering or deck officer license to occupy these roles. Our ratings are specialized personnel in the area of deck, engine, electrical, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and security. They are experienced seafarers who play a vital role in maintaining all shipboard marine systems and procedures.

Please visit the different departmental areas, to learn more about the exciting work they're doing, and the excellent opportunities available for you to contribute to our success as well.
